As the Summer Olympics come to a close, we’ve seen that athletes come in all shapes and sizes. Now the folks over at the BBC have come up with an app so you can see how you compare. Plug in your height and weight at www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19050139 and you’ll find out which Olympic athlete you most closely resemble.

The clever BBC folks also have given us a new way to look at our weight. They’ve developed the Global Fat Scale Calculator, which lets you know how you stack up by age and gender with others around the world.

Visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-18770328, plug your age, height, weight and country into the calculator, and it works out your BMI (Body Mass Index). You’ll be able to see how you rank with your fellow Americans of the same gender and age, as well as with Nigerians, Chinese, Swedes and Kenyans – 177 countries in all.
