March was a so-so month. I didn’t lose much weight but I was able to get a clearer picture of what works best for me.
During January and February I prepared most of my meals, so I was very careful about the ingredients I used.
But during March, I ate more restaurant meals for dinner and lunch. The results were not as good as prior months.
Still, my weight dropped to 238 pounds, down a total of 15 pounds from the 253 I weighed on Jan. 1.
And, for some reason I have rebuilt my love for Werther’s Original hard candies. I’ve got to stop that. (No, I don’t want the sugar free ones.)
So April will find me using my woks, steamer and slow cooker considerably more.
By the way, I am now a full-blown lab rat for a study at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. (More about that later.)

I am still on target to lose 40 pounds this year. But, as always, it’s a struggle.
